Founded in 2013, Avalon’s mission is to make renewable energy reliable by delivering the world’s most flexible, most durable energy storage systems. We believe that within five years, the combination of low-cost renewable power generation and our Avalon™ Flow Battery will deliver electricity on demand, 24 hours a day, at lower cost than any conventional source.
Avalon operates from three locations: Our corporate offices and commercial headquarters in Fremont, USA; our engineering and operations center in Vancouver, Canada; and our manufacturing plant in Suzhou, China. From these locations we deploy best-in-breed commercial, technical and operational expertise to deploy projects around the world.

Since 2005, we have designed, built and deployed more flow batteries than anyone in the world; our team now counts over 140 years’ experience in flow battery development, has deployed over 15MWh of vanadium flow batteries since 2005, and invented over 50 related independent patents.

Former Vice President in Macquarie infrastructure investment group. Completed more than $2 billion of energy and infrastructure financing in the solar, wind, and industrial sectors. Also served as COO of Rennie, a Vancouver real estate group.
